Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson gave each of his offensive linemen a $10,000 Airbnb gift card as well as a Louis Vuitton duffle bag for Christmas.

Christmas Day is a holiday traditionally reserved for the NBA – but now the NFL has come to dominate. The league is showcasing two games on Netflix, with the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Steelers before the Houston Texans host the Baltimore Ravens.

But ahead of the big day, a burgeoning NFL Christmas tradition is seeing the quarterbacks around the league present gifts to their offensive line for keeping them upright. Ahead of facing the reigning back-to-back Super Bowl champions, Wilson decided to get into the festive spirit with a number of lucrative gifts.

The Steelers quarterback gave each of his blockers a $10,000 Airbnb gift card as well as a duffle bag made by sought-after designer brand Louis Vuitton. The 36-year-old also gifted his teammates a custom pair of Steelers Good Man Brand shoes — his personal clothing brand — and a bottle of his wife Ciara’s Ten To One rum.

Wilson will hope the Christmas cheer will see him protected against a Chiefs pass rush missing Chris Jones. On Tuesday, the Steelers posted a clip of Wilson’s generosity on X along with the caption: “From: Russ Wilson To: The offensive line.”

Wilson is far from the first quarterback to serenade teammates with holiday gifts this year. Patrick Mahomes also showed appreciation to his offensive line for protecting him throughout the team’s impressive 14-1 campaign, gifting Rolex watches, Oakley sunglasses, Lucchese boots, and a pair of Normatec recovery leg sleeves.

Mahomes also gave his teammates Whoop bands and “an item or two from Louis Vuitton” in Yeti coolers. Elsewhere, Cincinnati Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow gave his offensive line authentic Japanese katanas, each with unique and intriguing backstories diving into their history.

Former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was cut by the NFC East franchise earlier this season and later landed with the high-flying Minnesota Vikings. Yet he showed his class and gratitude by gifting his former offensive line limited-edition bottles of Clase Azul tequila.

Wilson’s 10-5 Steelers are tied with the Ravens – who face the Texans later -for first place in the AFC North. The Chiefs lead the Steelers 22-10 in the fourth quarter.
