Caitlin Clark has revealed her WNBA plans as she shared an insight into her off-season mindset amid a massive contract offer in the works.

The Indiana Fever star enjoyed a remarkable rookie season which saw her win the Rookie of the Year Award at the end of a record-breaking campaign where she transformed the growth and reputation of the league. And the 22-year-old has offered an insight into her off-season mindset as she prepares for her second WNBA season next year.

Clark’s debut year came to an end when the Fever were dumped out in the first-round of the playoffs, but the former Iowa starlet has not put her feet up as she continues to practice and enjoy other sporting ventures during the break.

In a video posted to social media through the Fever’s handle, Clark spoke to the camera where she revealed her plans heading into next season while continuing her training. “I feel like I’m just scratching the surface,” she said. “I feel like there’s just so many areas that I want to improve in, and to continue to get in the gym and work on that every single day.”

Clark’s admission of her off-season work comes amid reports she is set to be offered a major contract to feature in the inaugural three on three Unrivaled basketball league. The new league is headed by Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier and New York Liberty championship winner Breanna Stewart and will feature some of the WNBA’s best talent.

The Fever star is yet to sign up for the league, who will welcome her rookie rival, Chicago Sky’s Angel Reese, into the league. But it isn’t for lack of trying from the new league, with it reported that Unrivaled were set to offer Clark over $1million to play in the off-season league – around 1,200 times more than her $76,535 rookie salary.

However, Clark reaffirmed her intention to take some time away during the break, previously declaring: “I’m gonna play some golf.” Clark had reportedly already declined an offer from Unrivaled to focus on maximizing her time ahead of the next WNBA season.

Clark is set to compete in LPGA’s The Annika in Florida next month, explaining her excitement at playing alongside Annika Sorenstam, the namesake of the event, she said: “I love golf so the opportunity to play in the Pro-Am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s on it is so exciting,” she said. “I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and, of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika.”

Currently, Unrivaled are still looking for four more players to make up their 30-player roster. The tournament will feature six teams of five players, with the four best teams progressing into the playoffs. Each player will be given a six-figure salary aimed at boosting their income in a bid to keep them playing domestically rather than move overseas.
