The New York Giants lost their 10th consecutive game on Sunday in Atlanta, setting a new all-time mark for the once-proud franchise.

After starting strong, the Giants fell apart from the second quarter onward, ultimately falling to the Falcons by a score of 34-7. It was the first win of Michael Penix’s young career, coming eight months after New York passed on him in the 2024 NFL draft.

If there is a silver lining, it’s that the Las Vegas Raiders picked up a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the afternoon slot, leaving the Giants atop the 2025 NFL draft board. Baby steps.

Whose stock is up and whose is down after the Week 16 loss? Let’s take a look.

Stock up: LB Darius Muasau

It was a big day for rookie linebacker Darius Muasau, who led both teams with 11 tackles (four solo, one for a loss). He also picked up a QB hit on a would-be sack before Penix somehow managed to get the ball away. Most notably, Muasau took over the green dot when Micah McFadden left the game and didn’t appear to miss a beat.

Stock down: Head coach Brian Daboll

It has become almost impossible to believe that head coach Brian Daboll will keep his job. Leading the Giants to a franchise record 10 straight losses is an ugly stain on anyone’s resume made worse by the reality that two more losses are likely, including a ninth loss at home — something that would be an all-time NFL record in futility. It “wasn’t good enough,” as Daboll repeated nearly a dozen times post-game.

Stock up: CB Andru Phillips

It will be interesting what the final grades and analytics say, but rookie cornerback Andru Phillips played a strong game to the naked eye. He made several impressive (and key) open-field tackles about a talented opponent (Bijan Robinson), finishing the game with six tackles (four solo, one for a loss).

Stock down: OL Evan Neal

You could just as easily put right guard Greg Van Roten in this spot as both he and right tackle Evan Neal stunk on Sunday. They appeared confused and new to each other, leading to multiple issues with miscommunication and in some instances, straight-up whiffs in pass protection. One of their collective failures went viral and it essentially defines the Giants’ entire season.

Stock up: WR Wan’Dale Robinson

Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson has taken heat this season for a low average per reception and lacking size, leading to few broken tackles. On Sunday, he displayed a ferocity rarely seen by any Giants player this season. Undersized or not, he gave every play 100 percent and fought off multiple defenders en route to a 7-catch, 62-yard performance.

Stock down: GM Joe Schoen

How can Joe Schoen be listed here when the “stock up” section is littered with his draft picks? We know… We can see that question coming from a mile away. But it’s also worth noting that the “stock down” section is also filled with his decisions — coaches, draft picks, and free agent signings. Two of his three draft classes have been poor and most of his free agent signings have underperformed. Schoen has failed to fix the injury issues — a Day 1 promise — and the lack of depth after three seasons at the helm is unforgivable. Daboll may be the face of this team’s failures but Schoen deserves the same level of blame. He has failed.
