WNBA superstar Angel Reese is seemingly a good luck charm for home teams when she turns up to NBA games.
The Chicago Sky star is enjoying her offseason, spending time attending various sporting events and celebrity galas following her rookie campaign in the WNBA season. The 22-year-old is often seen cheering teams on at courtside.
Earlier this week, Reese was in attendance at the Kia Center in Florida as the Orlando Magic secured a 108-104 win over the reigning NBA champion Boston Celtics. Reeses presence, combined with the Magic clinching victory, has led fans to notice an incredible trend.
Home teams have gone 12-0 in games when Angel Reese has been in attendance, one wrote. Meanwhile, others have coined this remarkable run of form as the Angel Reese Effect with one fan writing: Lets just say that every time you’ve attended a game this year, the home team has come out on top!
Reese also attended the New York Knicks win over the Magic at Madison Square Garden and cheered on Orlando at home when they clinched a 111-100 win over the Detroit Pistons. Fans were quick to point out Reeses impact, jumping to social media to call on her to attend their local teams.
Come save the Sacramento Kings please, one wrote. Another added: Need you to be at the Steelers-Chiefs game in a Steelers jersey.
Keep coming to Magic games but stay away from my guys, posted another fan. Someone added: Insane run, dont go to any Bears games soon if you wanna keep your streak.

The Sky stud was aware of the NBA trend. When the Magics official X account posted Reese in attendance, to which she replied: Whats my record now???
Reese enjoyed a productive debut campaign in the WNBA. The 22-year-old was firmly in the Rookie of the Year race alongside Caitlin Clark before suffering a season-ending wrist injury, finishing with 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds.
Reese is set to play with some of the best players in the world in Unrivaled, the new 3×3 league set to be staged in Miami that was co-founded by WNBA All-Stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. Players are also expected to earn a guaranteed average salary of approximately $250,000, along with equity stakes as part-owners in the league which makes it a compelling venture both financially and professionally.
Unrivaleds inaugural season is set to run from January to March, clashing with the NBA season and the WNBA offseason. Unrivaled tips off on Jan. 14, 2025.
