Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are “very in love” and their relationship is “serious,” a source has said.
The 27-year-old Kylie Cosmetics founder is “very proud” of her boyfriend and has been “happy” to support him during this awards season, the insider added. The 29-year-old Dune star is one of the nominees for Best Actor at the Academy Awards, for his role in the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown.
If Timothée takes the Oscar, he will become the youngest winner of the prize, taking the title from Adrien Brody – who was also 29 when he won the Oscar for Holocaust drama The Pianist – by just a few months. Timothée has already proven to be a strong contender, recently winning his first-ever Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award for the same role.
This victory made him the youngest male actor to win the highly respected award, setting his place in the Hollywood industry. The source said Kylie “admires how talented and hardworking” Timothée is.
Speaking to ET, the source said, “Kylie and Timothée are very in love and their relationship is serious. Kylie is very proud of Timothée and has been happy to support him throughout this awards season. She admires how talented and hardworking he is.”
It comes after an expert told us that the couple are “more serious about each other than ever” after overcoming a potential breaking point in their relationship. Following their recent joint public appearances, fans have voiced fears that the actor’s growing career could cause them to split.
However, relationship expert Louella Alderson doesn’t believe this will be the case. Speaking exclusively to The Mirror US, she said, “Timothée has had an incredibly busy few years filming multiple movies and gaining more recognition in Hollywood but he and Kylie have remained strong throughout this as they’ve been dating for almost two years.”
She suggested that if anything, the couple “appear more serious about each other than ever.” She explained, “It’s clear their relationship is still going strong. Given how private they’ve been, this feels like a big step for them and it’s an indication of their commitment to each other.”
Louella said that Timothée’s career will be a “factor” in their romance, but insisted it doesn’t have to be “the breaking point.” The expert suggested Kylie and Timothée can overcome any challenges by continuing to make time for one another, despite their busy schedules.
Alderson told us, “For Kylie and Timothée, communication and understanding will be key in managing their romance as his career continues to grow. It’s important for them to make time for each other when they can but also be understanding when their schedules don’t align.”
She added, “Setting setting boundaries and standards in their personal and professional lives can help them maintain a healthy balance. This could mean turning their phones off when they’re together, keeping certain aspects of their relationship private or even making sure they call each other once a day to catch up.”
In August last year, a source told People that Kylie has “never been in love like this before.” The source added, “Her family loves him. He’s so discreet and always has her back. He’s very much a gentleman and everything that Kylie deserves.”
Another insider said in October that the duo are a “great couple” and confirmed that things have become more serious over the past year and a half. They revealed, “He’s close with her family and she’s close with his family. It’s very serious, but also a fun relationship. They’ve really been able to figure out a good balance between working and spending quality time together.”
