Shania Twain just proved the best part about being a woman on Christmas is wearing cozy sweaters and barely there makeup.
On Sunday, Dec. 25, the 59-year-old country icon showed off a cozy holiday look — complete with an oversized Christmas sweater — on Instagram as she shared some holiday wishes with her fans.
For her festive attire, Twain ditched her go to glam hair and make for an at-home wintertime fit, complete with her hair in a messy bun, a pair of leggings and a grey knitted Christmas sweater featuring a glittery Mickey and Minnie Mouse along with the phrase “Jolly.”
“Merry Christmas from snowy Switzerland! ☺️❄️🎄🤍,” Twain captioned the image.
Alongside the pic, which showed the “You’re Still the One” singer in the kitchen apparently fixing up a seasonal dish, Twain also uploaded a video of her pup playing in the snow, next to a lit-up outdoor Christmas tree.
Twain last stepped out at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards in September to take on hosting duties, when she showed off her flippy blonde bob teamed with a smoky makeup look to mark the occasion. The event marked her most recent red carpet, as she told PEOPLE at the time that, after more than 30 years in the industry, the “creative element” of her work continues to motivate her.
“I love new songwriting. I love design and production. There’s so much more that goes into being an artist than just standing on the stage and singing — even though, of course, that’s a very bug part,” she said. “But I think there’s a lot the fans may not be aware of that goes on, and it’s fun to share.”
She added, “I definitely wear a lot of hats, and that keeps me motivated.”
Since then, she got into the holiday spirit in December by appearing on Netflix’s A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter, as the pair debuted a duet of “Santa Baby” and Twain gave a glimpse at her return to a more brunette look for the pre-recorded Christmas special. During the performance, Twain wore a dazzling cream dress with her hair in a partial quiff.
She first showed off her blonde hair transformation in early 2023, explaining on The Late Late Show with James Corden, that she was “just having fun” with the look amid promotion for her latest album, 2023’s Queen of Me.

On Dec. 15, Twain shared a thank-you post with fans who attended her Come On Over Last Vegas residency shows, which she kicked of back in May. She heads back to Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Jan. 21, and will play shows through Feb. 8 at the venue.
“Thank you to everyone who came to the Come On Over shows this year – I couldn’t ask for better fans,” she wrote. “Best dressed! Best singalongs! Just the best! I can’t wait to see you all in January for the final run of this residency!! 🤠❤️🔥💃”
