NFL legend Terry Bradshaw’s humorous side has been unveiled once again after the public learnt of a gag he played on close pal Jimmy Johnson.
The two appeared together on an episode of FOX NFL Sunday earlier this season, where it was announced Bradshaw would soon star in a series of live musical comedy shows. ‘The Terry Bradshaw Show’ is set to take place at Clay Cooper’s Theatre in Branson, Missouri, promising fans a night of laughter and entertainment based around Bradshaw’s remarkable life.
During a commercial break, former Dallas Cowboys head coach Johnson asked for details about Bradshaw’s second career. However, the ex-Pittsburgh Steelers icon and four-time Super Bowl champion may have exaggerated a bit about his stage commitments.

According to venue host and podcaster Cooper, who shared insights during a recent stream, Bradshaw successfully convinced his colleague that he was earning six-figure paychecks for his singing rather than his football skills. Johnson, 81, was taken aback as the conversation turned to finances, but the original ‘TB12’ managed to keep a straight face as he continued to fool his colleague.
“They pay me $140,000 (£112,000) for a show to come out there,” Bradshaw told his long-time friend, according to Cooper. His FOX co-star was understandably left in a state of disbelief and promptly asked: “You make $140,000 singing in, where, Branson?”
Arguably the most amusing part of this story is that Bradshaw never bothered to correct Johnson, who may still believe his buddy is earning millions from his singing talent alone. That is unless the FOX NFL Sunday contributor sees the clip of Cooper explaining the joke.

“Terry was just laughing, and I said, ‘You told him all this?’ and he goes: ‘Oh yeah,'” Cooper continued. “I said, ‘Did you ever tell him the truth?’ And he goes, ‘No!'”
Bradshaw has always been known as a prankster, but this time he took it to another level by convincing Johnson of his success on the live music scene. The retired quarterback has long been a performer and even released his a strong of albums, but this fresh fib was too good to believe for Johnson.
