The New York Giants fell to 2-13 on the season after another embarrassing showing, this time down in Atlanta where the Falcons trampled them, 34-7.

This team never seems to disappoint when it comes to disappointing.

Here are five things we learned from the latest loss.

This year’s draft class isn’t done making its impact

Two of the six players the Giants selected in the 2024 NFL draft — safety Tyler Nubin and tight end Theo Johnson — may be out of the season with injuries but the remaining four picks continued to shine on Sunday.

Wide receiver Malik Nabers led the team with seven receptions for 68 yards and set a new franchise record for receptions by s rookie. Nabers also joined Anquan Boldin (2003) and Terry Glenn (1996) as the only rookies in NFL history with 12 games of five or more receptions.

Linebacker Darius Muasau led the team in tackles on Sunday with 11 (four solo, one for a loss) and had a QB hit. Cornerback Andru Phillips made six total stops and had a tackle for a loss.

Running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. had his first career touchdown reception, the first by a Giants running back this season.

Light isn’t going on for Evan Neal

Former first-round pick Evan Neal started again at right tackle and was, well, you tell us…

Neal was ineffective again, to say the least. There’s talk of moving him to guard because he’s not cutting it as a tackle. The team insists he is one, however. There’ll be lots of talk this offseason about his future — or lack of one — with the Giants.

It’s perplexing how this “can’t miss” prospect has completely washed out.

Mara too embarrassed to be on camera

Giants co-owner John Mara was seen turning away from the television cameras when they flashed on him up in his booth late in the game.

He was clearly disgusted with the performance of his team and he should be. What he should be taking account for is the sorry state the team has fallen into.

Mara is embarrassed (as he should be) that this storied franchise of 100 years is now not just the laughing stock of the NFL, but of all North American team sports.

The Giants’ brand is now synonymous with losing after logging in their 10th consecutive defeat — a franchise record.

Drew Lock earned his bus ticket

Drew Lock came out of college with high expectations a few years back, but now we can see why he’s on his third NFL team and probably headed for his fourth.

On Sunday, he just wasn’t good enough — again. Three turnovers, a fumble and two pick-sixes, plus many missed opportunities low-lighted the day and left the Giants with just seven points on the board.

The Giants had 11 possessions in the game. They had had one 14-play drive that ended with a touchdown and another 12-play one that ended on downs. The other nine consisted of five plays or less.

Do you trust this regime with the top pick?

The Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, which means the Giants are in the driver’s seat to select first overall in the 2025 NFL draft.

That leads to the question of whether this regime can be trusted with that pick. They haven’t drafted first since 1965 when they chose running back Tucker Frederickson over Dick Butkus, Gale Sayers, and Joe Namath.

There’s a lot of moving parts here. Does John Mara want to retain general manager Joe Schoen and his staff after two historically bad seasons, or does he want to bring in someone new to run the team?

Don’t be surprised if he doesn’t.

Schoen is coming off a strong draft this year and perhaps he’s grown into the job. Plus, do Giant fans trust Mara to even find the right guy to replace Schoen?
